Biomass Energy Generation
We have a long track record providing services to the biomass energy sector. We embrace projects across the full range of fuel types:

Our expertise covers a wide range of generating capacity - having consulted on hot air turbine biomass CHP at 80 kWe at the smallest scale, and combustion of biomass waste for 38 MWe of power-only generation at the largest scale. We have particular expertise in down-draught gasification of wood providing CHP generation in the range 250-1,500 kWe.


Within projects falling into the above criteria, Equis Energy also specialises in delivering:

• CHPQA accreditation
• ROC (Ofgem) accreditation
• Pollution Prevention & Control (PPC) permits with the Environment Agency or relevant local authority (LAPPC). PPC now falls under the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR) 2010, however terms such as PPC remain are still widely used
